A record-breaking ‘Crepuscolo’ opens the Massimo’s season on 28 January

A season opening that is an event: almost six hours of performance broadcast live on Radiotre and in streaming, forty critics from all over the world, a delegation of Wagnerians from Germany, three hundred seats reserved for young people for the opera premiere, a large videomapping show on the theatre façade and some illustrious guests. Richard Wagner’s Götterdämmerung, directed by Graham Vick, debuts on Thursday 28 January, with the Teatro Massimo Orchestra conducted by Stefan Anton Reck. It is the last part of the colossal “Ring” staged since 2013 and conceived from the spaces of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
