PRESS RELEASE
Palermo, 4 March 2025 – On Thursday, 6 March at 8:30 p.m., the Teatro Massimo will host ‘Cerca la luna’ (Shoot for the moon), a show conceived and curated by the cultural association Archè Lab, which features on stage sixty young actors with disabilities.
Tiziana Martilotti is the director of the show, Daniele Restivo is in charge of music, with stage movements by Giuseppe Giambrone, the collaboration of Daniela Fragalá, Roberta Vitale, Giuseppe Cavora, and the participation of Marianna Lima.
‘Cerca la luna‘ is an exciting show that celebrates diversity and the power of art to unite people,’ says creator Tiziana Martilotti. ‘It is a show dedicated to those who never stop believing that music and poetry can really change the world and can make people hope for the impossible. On stage we bring the truth of young people with pure and unique souls who, with dedication and perseverance, through theatre and music, are able to break down all barriers. We are grateful and honoured,’ Martilotti concludes, “to have been welcomed at the Teatro Massimo and to have had the fullest availability of the Superintendent Marco Betta and all the technical staff who opened the doors of this prestigious temple of culture to us”.
The Archè Lab actors will guide the audience on a sentimental journey inspired by the theme of the moon that invites reflection on the fragility of existence. The programme alternates between recited pieces and musical pages from pop operas such as ‘Cats’, ‘Les miserables’ ‘Romeo and Juliet’, Don Quixote, Zucchero and Pavarotti’s passionate Miserere, and famous arias such as ‘E lucevan le stelle’ from Tosca.
‘We are happy to welcome into the programme of the Teatro Massimo Cerca la luna, a work of refined artistic sensitivity, created by the cultural association Archè Lab’ – says Superintendent Marco Betta. ‘A performance that testifies, with poetry and depth, to the talent and dedication of extraordinary artists, capable of transforming the stage into a place of emotion and beauty’.
