Sudden mourning in the world of opera: Paolo Vero dies. The condolences of the Teatro Massimo where he was director of the choir.

Paolo Vero, 57 years old, director of the choir of the Giuseppe Verdi opera theater in Trieste, has suddenly passed away. Born in Rome, he graduated in piano, then dedicated himself to choral music. From 1990 to 1993 he oversaw the preparation of the works at the Rome Opera House and then collaborated with the Bayreuth Festival as musical assistant to the choirmaster Norbert Balatsch, preparing all the Wagnerian works.

Già maestro del coro del Teatro lirico di Cagliari, Vero dal 2005 al 2006 aveva diretto il coro del Teatro Massimo di Palermo dove ha lasciato un ricordo indelebile per la sua ricchezza artistica e umana. La notizia della sua scomparsa sta suscitando vasta commozione e profondo cordoglio in coloro che lo conoscevano e apprezzavano.
